review – chocovine

original-67

Name of the Wine: Chocovine

Country of Origin: Holland

Year: n/a

Price: $19.99 at Stagshead Liquor Store ( I saw it at Lansdowne Liquor for quite a bit more!)

Rating: 5.4 out of 6!

What made this wine fit our theme for the night?: Caroline would never have bought this so it’s an adventure to try something new!

Comments: This was the bomb!! But there is not a hint of wine to it. I had actually tried this before at the Art Gallery tasting and was really, really surprised by it. Still surprising!

It is made with French grapes and Dutch chocolate. There isn’t much for a description on the bottle. But is does tell you it has cream in it and to use it within 6 months. No problemo!! It was awesome! Really, it’s like Baileys. Even Mindy gave it a try. She attends wine nights for the ambiance – not the wine. The lowest rating this got was a 4 and everyone was talking about it. Yelling even! And the bottle was gone in 5 minutes. The whole bottle. There were 11 of us.

Give this a go but don’t try to eat anything with it. Just have it straight up. And love it!

Would I buy this wine again? Yup – It would be great to dip smores in!!

Update – They have many flavours!  Check it out at http://chocovine.com/
